Dear compatriots, friends,

I am glad to arrive to the Kingdom of Cambodia again, to this peculiar country filled with ancient past and rich culture.

It is а great success for any khmerologist to have а chance to work in this state, and I would like to contribute to further advancement of Russian-Cambodian relations.

People of our two countries are entwine with а long-standing friendship and mutual trust, and in the past years – with steady development of cooperation in politics, economy, science and culture.

The significance of relations of these two states were vindicated by the visits on the highest and high levels – by Н.Е. Мr. Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation to Phnom Penh in November 2015, and Н.Е.  Samdech  Akka  Moha  Sena  Padei  Techo  Hun  Sen,  Prime  Minister  of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Moscow, and Sochi to attend the Russia-ASEAN summit in May 2016, with а meeting between Н.Е. Mr. Vladimir Putin, Russian President with the head of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom took place on its margins. There are а regular dialogue at the level of ministers of foreign affairs of both countries, operation of the Intergovernmental Russian-Cambodian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, and humanitarian contacts maintained.

This year Russia and Cambodia have marked 25 years since signing the Joint Declaration on the bases of friendly relations (May 25, 1995), while nowadays we are approaching to the year 2021 to celebrate the 65^th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between our two nations.

As а Russian Ambassador to Cambodia, I am committed to work on further enrichment of bilateral relations in various fields, as well as promotion of interactions with Russian compatriots living in the country.
