Press-briefing of the Russian Embassy in Cambodia
On 19 October 2022 the Embassy of Russia to Cambodia organized via videoconference the eighth briefing for the representatives of the ministries and institutions, analytical centers and media of the Kingdom on the issue of Ukraine.
During the event, the Press-Attaché and Deputy Military Attaché to the diplomatic mission informed about the results of the referendums held in Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions on 23-27 September 2022, as well as the genesis of the conflict in Ukraine. The facts of the continuous shelling by the Ukrainian armed formations of the civilian and critical infrastructure on the territories of the mentions and other Russian regions were presented.
Moreover, the briefing expounded the causes of the current food and energy crisis in the world, commented on the participation of Russian leadership in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, as well as Russia-Central Asia summits, and Meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council.
The Embassy officials answered the questions of the local press.
